A system for moving and folding a gate assembly, which comprises at least one gate assembly having at least a first portion and a second portion that are connected by at least one hinge forming the gate assembly, and a pole connected to the first portion of the gate assembly by at least one fastening member. A connecting means links a pivotal member on the gate assembly to a mounting member and facilitates folding or unfolding of the gate assembly as the pole revolves on a vertical axis to move the first portion of the gate assembly, in which the revolution of the pole is driven by a motor attached to the pole along the vertical axis.
